Thea Hall and Bentley at the Waikanae Market

Delightful artistic entrepreneur Thea Hall has drawn inspiration for her original Christmas Cards from pets, family and friends.
The 9 year-old Kapakapanui School student was one of the stars at the recent Waikanae Saturday Market and had plenty of customers.
"This is really exciting for me. I feel like a real salesperson," says Thea, who had a steady stream of customers for her original Christmas Cards.
Thea says she has always been interested in art.
"Ever since I was little I really loved drawing and I love art at school."
She started working on the cards during the Covid lockdown period.
"I was doing Facetime with friends and also using Google Canvas and that made the drawing really enjoyable."
Thea says she had help from her auntie Helene to print out the cards and get them ready for the Market.
"It is very exciting and they are selling really well," says Thea who says her favourite card is the one with the puppies. "People really like that card so we might have to make some more."
