December 22, 2017
Trevor Daniell of the Raumati South Residents Assn

Kapiti Mayor K Gurunathan, Deputy Mayor Janet Holborow and Community Board member Bernie Randall attended as guests at the recent Raumati South Residents Association AGM.

Spokesperson Trevor Daniell says the new committee is Guy Burns, Rebecca Houghton, Dorothy Thomson, new member Jenny Scott and himself.
Items discussed were Argentine ant infestations, Predator Free NZ, rattraps. Following a presentation by Russell Bell, Chair of the Friends of QE Park about the development of QE Park, there was a discussion about the farm and the retention of the wetlands. A resolution supporting Friends of QE Park was passed and letters of support have been forwarded to the Council and the Community Boards.
Mr Daniell says the Regional Council will be approached to determine its role in the control of the ants. Members, especially those on the border of open areas, are encouraged to buy rattraps in support of Predator Free NZ.
