Coastlands has extended its sponsorship of Coastlands Netball Kapiti to support their growth within the community.

Coastlands has renewed its sponsorship of the Centre until 2023, as well as contributing $9000 towards the new storage shed by the premier court.

Coastlands Netball Kapiti is responsible for over 1300 players within Kapiti and has aims to invest in its facilities, as well as increase members, coaches, umpires, volunteers, and its engagement within the general community.

Coastlands' Jan Forrest says they want to give back to Netball Kapiti, who have done so much for the local community, and the sport.

"We really believe in their vision for local netball. Continuing our sponsorship will help them achieve their goal for growth. Coastlands also believes investing into the local community, and giving back to the community where we operate is an important responsibility for local business. "

Coastlands Netball Kapiti president, Lisa Mills-Albert say they rely heavily on grants and sponsorship to cover their running costs.

"We are firmly focused on growing the Centre. Our partnership with Coastlands will not only result in more girls and women on the court, but also men taking part as umpires and in twilight mixed leagues.

"Our representative players and umpires are proud to wear the Coastlands logo on their uniforms. We really believe that partnerships go both ways, and adding regular age group tournaments to our events calendar will bring more people to Kapiti, a win-win for everyone including Coastlands" says Lisa Albert-Mills.

The sponsorship will see Coastlands Netball Kapiti through until 2023, cementing their relationship with the Centre that began more than 10 years ago, and will help towards a brand new storage shed beside the Centre's premier court, freeing up room for expansion. Each year the centre has between 1300 - 1400 registered players from Year 1 through to Club Level. Grading day for 2017 is 1 April, with first round of play on 6 May.
