Looks like the Holiday traffic has started early and patience is required. From early afternoon the road between Waikanae and Ōtaki has been very slow. There will be huge anticipation about the opening of the Peka Peka to Ōtaki portion of the Expressway which is expected to set action tomorrow.
Officially opened yesterday the new road looks impressive and the timing for the Christmas period could not be better.
