Bernie Wanden retains Horowhenua Mayoralty

Bernie Wanden has retained the Mayoralty of the Horowhenua District Council

Bernie Wanden has been returned as Mayor of Horowhenua for a second term.

This result is based upon the counting of approximately 90% of the returned votes. The progress result does not include some special votes and votes returned today that are still in transit to the processing centre. The outcome of these elections may change once all votes have been counted.

Mayor Wanden had received 5,040 votes with nearest challenger Sam Jennings on 2,710 and Victoria Kaye-Simmons ON 2,128
