Westpac Bank’s IT staff got a welcome break from the office on friday and headed to Waikanae for a beach cleaning day.
The 20 strong contingent did a fantastic job collecting bags of unwanted material from the beach. Duncan Aubrey from the IT office in Wellington said it was a popular scheme with staff who are given a day each year for such projects. Candy Young said it was a very nice day out and was a very good way for Westpac staff to contribute to coastal cleanup work. Cristina Barrozo of the IT team said a group did Lyall Bay beach last week and this was a great way of see the beaches in the region.
