He is a common fixture at Coastlands, bringing much needed colour and music. He is known as James the Busker.
With the sounds of Dylan, Neil Young, and a host of other crowd favourites James the Busker is well known and popular among visitors to Coastlands.
He is usually stationed outside the Mag store by the Postshop.
James says he goes a fair way back in Kāpiti and he was a foundation student at Paraparaumu College.
“I like to play every day,” says James.
“Playing here is cool. It’s a lively audience and a lovely environment as the world passes by. Some people get enthusiastic and join in but mainly it’s a constant passing parade I get to play for.”
