Jill Tebbs was one of many Kāpiti Pakeke Lions Club members who recently collected at Coastlands for the Child Cancer Appeal.
Jill said there had been a very enthusiastic response to the appeal.
“People are very generous, especially when it comes to fundraising for children. We are very grateful for the public support.”
The Kāpiti Pakeke Lions have been busy of late, having recently organised the Paekākāariki Express steam train excursion which raised $5000 for the new Ronald McDonald House.
The Club also has a role in the giant Lions Book Fair, and organises the very popular Duck Races on the Waikanae River.
