Currently exhibiting at the Roderick and Gillian Deane Art Space in Paraparaumu is: Culture, not tha Clout – Graffiti Artists.
The exhibition is celebrating creativity during the Kāpiti Coast Art Trail, with local graffiti artists Kāpiti Paint Benders presenting recent work in its cultural context of hip-hop music and dance.
Graffiti art often challenges perceptions of art, and is a vibrant form of expression reflecting artists’ personal experiences, social issues, and cultural identity.
