Police are undertaking a thorough scene examination this morning following a fatal house fire at Paraparaumu Beach.
Police were called to assist Fire and Emergency NZ at the Manly Street property shortly after 6pm last night.
Police say a person at the Manly St address was located in critical condition, but despite best efforts of medical personnel to revive them, sadly the person died at the scene.
Police will be working alongside Fire and Emergency New Zealand investigators to determine the circumstances of the fire.
