The Kāpiti Business Chamber’s International Women’s Day celebration is on Thursday, 6th March, where guests will enjoy a delicious two-course lunch, a glass of bubbles and some great networking.

Chamber CE Claire Mance says the Chamber is excited to be joined by guest speaker Barbara Dreaver – TVNZ Pacific Correspondent.

The Kāpiti Business Chamber’s Women in Business Flagship Event for the year is always a sell-out, so be in quick is the advice.

Barbara Dreaver has worked as a Pacific Correspondent for the last 20 years, specialising in the region across print, radio and television for over three decades.

Of Kiribati, Cook Islands and NZ descent, she was named an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit (ONZM)  in the 2024 New Years Honours list for Investigative Journalism and Services to Pacific People

Barbara’s work has exposed major fraud, drug smuggling, corruption and human trafficking, leading to multiple arrests and changed laws and policies both in New Zealand and around the Pacific.  She’s won multiple awards, including Reporter of the Year at the 2022 NZTV awards.
