Police are investigating the death of a woman whose body was discovered at the Foxton Beach boat ramp early this morning, Saturday 28 December.
Authorities were alerted to the incident at 6:45 a.m. The boat ramp, located 35 km southwest of Palmerston North, became the focus of an inquiry to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
Police have identified the woman, and efforts are underway to notify her next of kin. Investigators continue to work on understanding the events that led to her death.
