The Reikorangi Hall is an historic building with a lot of stories to tell from its early days as a school to the newly renovated community facility it has become.
The hall was closed from July this year to allow for extensive renovations and residents seem very pleased with the transformation.
Julia Palmer, Reikorangi Residents Chair, says the timing of the renovations is very much appreciated.
“We were very excited to see this finally happening. The Hall had been fading over the years but has now been rejuvenated and it will be well used by the community.”
Ms Palmer says the area of the hall and its surrounds has been a hive of activity for the past few months.
“The Hall work has been great to see and the end result with the deck also finished is a great asset. And we have seen the construction of the new playground which the kids are going to love. We have our Reikorangi Country Fair on January 26 so that will be a great chance for locals and visitors to see this wonderful new area developed for the community.”
