Mills Albert, the civil contracting company based in Paraparaumu, has made headlines for its generous support of the charity Bellyful which provides free meals to families in need.

Instead of using their naming rights on the Wellington Lions and Pride rugby teams’ jerseys for self-promotion, Mills Albert chose to spotlight Bellyful, leading to a remarkable fundraising effort that raised over $30,000.

This initiative provided crucial financial support and significantly increased Bellyful’s visibility within the community.

The funds were generated through various activities, including a charity jersey auction and contributions from local businesses. With this boost, Bellyful can prepare over 1,500 meals for families with young children who require assistance.

Lisa Mills, director of Mills Albert, expressed her pride in the collaboration.

“We didn’t know what the collaboration was going to look like, but look what has been achieved. It’s inspiring to see how a community can come together to support those in need.”

This partnership has fostered a strong sense of community spirit and connection, demonstrating that businesses can play a vital role in charitable endeavours.”
