Denis Wood from the Shed Project in Kāpiti says The Shed Variety Extravaganza Show is a great way to celebrate another very busy year.
“Our people have worked very hard over the last year and are excited to showcase their achievements. Our own drama group Light it up Inclusive Theatre will be performing their take on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the final scenes of their very successful show The Wizard of Oz,” says Mr Wood.
“Our own Sound Minds band will perform original songs of their experiences living with mental challenges.
“There will also be performances from our dance group, Zumba Group and static displays of creative arts and pottery.”
Mr Wood says the Matinee Show is on at 1pm and the evening show from 6pm will have light refreshments and non-alcohol drinks included in the ticket price and the bar will be available.
“We would like to acknowledge our appreciation for the support of Creative New Zealand, and the Kāpiti Council for their funding grant and our six Kāpiti business sponsors: Kāpiti Goodies, Finman Services Accountants, Dark Horse Coffee, Western Plumbing, Centre Line, and Fun Zone,” says Mr Wood.
