The Kāpiti Women’s Expo started 11 years ago as a way for a few local business women to not only display their goods and services to the community but network amongst themselves, this was at the Kāpiti Hockey Turf.
Kāpiti locals Julie Maltby and Emily Lester took over the running and promotion of the Expo in 2016 and with the help of their families and friends have grown it to completely fill Southwards Car Museum with over 100 exhibitors not only from throughout Kapita and Horowhenua but also Wellington, the Hutt Valley, Porirua, Manawatu, Hawkes Bay and Whanganui.
Julie says for the last seven years and to keep consistency the Expo has always been on the 1st Sunday in November.
She says their by-line says it all “Something for all occasions for all the family”, as there is such a huge range of products and services including yummy food and drink to taste and take away. The Kāpiti Women’s Expo is a fun day out and a great way to kick off your Christmas shopping.
This year Kāpiti Women’s Expo will be on Sunday 3rd November from 10am to 3pm at Southwards, only, a gold coin entry which will go to the Kāpiti Women’s Refuge who they have supported for the last six years raising many thousands of dollars.
