And the results are in… The 2024 Electra Business & Innovation Award winners are… drum roll, please.

Peter Jackson is world famous for winning awards…. and Peter Jackson Plumbing is world famous in Kāpiti and Horowhenua for doing the same.

The 2024 Electra Business & Innovation Awards were held on Thursday, 10th October 2024, at the Horowhenua Event Centre. The night was both a spectacular success and a wonderful celebration of the Awards 30th birthday. The evening was hosted by renowned journalist and emcee Paddy Gower, the event was a vibrant celebration of business excellence across Horowhenua and Kāpiti.

Attendees enjoyed an exquisite menu catered by Artisan Kitchen, highlighting local producers, and were entertained by the incredible musical talents of Black Eyed Susie and Sarsha & Ra.

Drumroll, please… the overall winner of the 2024 Electra Business of the Year is Peter Jackson Plumbing Ltd.

Judges’ Comments: The Judges regard Peter Jackson Plumbing as having attained iconic status in business within the region. The company has built a robust, 24/7/365 plumbing and drainage system to serve an expanding population area, utilising state-of-the-art expertise in all aspects of its operation. Staff development, alongside customer communication and satisfaction, are top priorities.

The company’s continued success in these awards – having entered several times – demonstrates a real commitment to continuous improvement and an enthusiasm for being an excellent, innovative, and sustainable business.

Peter and Sonya said it was an incredible night.  “We’re beyond thrilled to share that Peter Jackson Plumbing has been awarded Electra Business of the Year.  This huge achievement is a testament to our amazing team and the loyalty of our incredible customers—some of whom have been with us for over 27 years.”

In addition to the industry categories the evening saw Kāpiti Laureate, sponsored by the Kāpiti Coast District Council – Ruth Pretty inducted to the Hall of Fame for 2024.

The Electra Business & Innovation Awards are a celebration of what makes Kāpiti and Horowhenua exceptional places to live, work, and invest in.

“I congratulate those who won awards and grateful thanks to all the finalists and nominated businesses who took part,” says Mayor Holborow who presented the Hall of Fame award to Ruth Pretty.
