Gill Allen is a current guest artist at the Kāpiti Gallery’s “Positively Pastels” exhibition.
UK born Gill is a member of Pastel Artists of New Zealand. Walks in the English countryside along with views of the Tararua Ranges in New Zealand have combined to form a catalyst for her semi-abstract landscape paintings. Gill teaches regular workshops in her craft.
Alongside pastel paintings by artists from the Kāpiti Arts and Crafts Society, members from the Kāpiti Woodworkers Guild also have work on display. The Guild’s membership includes experienced woodworkers but also caters for beginners and enthusiasts at any level.
The exhibition ends on Sunday 29 September.
Where: The Kāpiti Gallery is at 192 Matai Road, Raumati Beach.
When: The Kāpiti Gallery is open Thursday to Sunday, 10.00am to 3,00pm.
