Electra report that Fault staff have been able to make a temporary cut in the 11kV line in Mcleavey Road.
“We will be able to reinstate 74 customers living in Mcleavey road. The remaining 16 customers closer to the accident site will remain without power until the accident site is made safe. It has been estimated that Electra staff will not be able to assess the damage to our equipment (if any) until around 9:30 pm.
“Electra fault staff have been responding to a traffic accident in Ohau. Power to 90 customers in Vista Rd, SH1, and Mcleavey Rd has been isolated to make the accident site safe for emergency services.
