LETTERS: The new Ōtaki sculptures look splendid. May one ask – and yes, one has asked several times but no harm in trying again…. why Waikanae has never had signs at its north and south entrances on the old main road indicating ‘Waikanae. New Zealand’s Most Beautiful Town 2015’. Surely an accolade worth a mention? Every other Beautiful Town in the country has shown due pride in its achievement. I know that at the moment the town is a bit of a mess – but all will be well—eventually.
