NOTICE OF Annual General Meeting
The Annual General Meeting of the Waikanae Club will be held on Saturday 8th August 2020 commencing at 11:00am.
Notice is given that any matters a member may wish to bring before the meeting must be in the hands of the Club Manager no later than 10 days prior to the meeting.
Under the provisions of clause 12.7 of the Constitution there are three Board Member vacancies to be appointed and applications must be in the hands of the Club Manager no later than 10 days prior to the Annual General Meeting. Such applications (which must contain details of prior experience and CV) will then be forwarded to the independent Selections Committee which will report its decisions back to the Club Manager prior to the AGM.
Clause 12.5 lists the requirements to be appointed to the Board –
(a) The candidates prior experience as a director, trustee or experience in any other governance in any other governance role.
(b) The candidates occupational skills, abilities and experience.
(c) The need for conflicts of interest on the Board to be minimized.
(d) The need for a wide range of skills, diversity and experience on the Board including skills in commerce, marketing, law and business generally
(e) The need for gender balance on the Board.
(f) Must meet the Department of Internal Affairs “Fit and Proper” person requirements.
