Empty those bookshelves now so you’re ready for Paekākāariki’s book fair. The St Peters Village Hall Trust is running its annual book fair at the hall from Friday 19 to Sunday 21 July.
Ian Clark, organiser of this year’s book fair, says mid-winter is a great time for reading, and the book fair is a great place to find anything from fast-paced novels to serious literature to travel, gardening or cooking.
“It’s an opportunity to clear-out and refill your bookshelves,” says Ian.
“We’ll collect book donations from the Kāpiti Coast, or people can deliver books to Paekākāariki.”
The fair starts with a ‘first pick’ evening at 6pm on Friday 19 July, when $5 gets you wine, nibbles and music along with first go at the book tables. Entry is free on Saturday (9am to 5pm) and Sunday (10-2pm).
