FREE admission for children throughout the long weekend – Come and celebrate Easter at Ngā Manu and have fun with all the family.
Take part in the Golden Kiwi Egg Scavenger Hunt to enter our prize draw to win a wonderful Easter Prize pack. Visit our Easter Zone on the Robin’s Nest Lawn and while you are there, be sure to snap a family photo with our Easter Bunny and enter it into our Eggcellent Easter Photo Competition for another chance to win an Easter Prize Pack.
On Easter, Saturday and Sunday children can hunt for our ‘Ngā Manu Easter Rocks’ and exchange them for Easter eggs (limit of one egg per child).
On Easter Sunday there will be special ‘Winner Eggs’ hiding in the Reserve and whoever finds them will instantly win a prize! Claim your prize at our Visitor Centre – limit of one per family. Thank you to all our sponsors who have kindly donated prizes.

Entry: Kid’s go free at Ngā Manu on Good Friday, Easter Saturday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday. This offer is not available with any other offer. Children are 0-15 years and must be accompanied by a paying adult. Standard adult entry is $18, SuperGold Card entry is $10 and NZ students are $10.
Easter Prize Packs include a Ngā Manu Family Membership for one year and a selection of Easter treats and books by Andrew Crowe.
Free Easter eggs are available for children who find an Easter Rock on Easter Saturday or Sunday (while stocks last) – limit of one per child. You are welcome to bring your own chocolate to hide in the Reserve.
Golden Kiwi Egg Scavenger Hunt entry forms must be completed at Ngā Manu and handed in at our Visitor Center or posted to Ngā Manu Nature Reserve, PO BOX 126, Waikanae, 5250 or emailed to [email protected] to gain an entry into our prize draw. The winner of the Golden Kiwi Egg Scavenger Hunt will be picked at random and announced on Friday 26th April.
The winner of our Easter Zone Photo Competition will be announced on 29th April. The winner will be the owner of the photo that receives the most likes in our Eggcellent Easter Photo Competition Album on our Facebook page prior to midnight on 28th April (last day of the school holidays).
