Julene Hope, Deputy Chair of the Kāpiti Coast Chamber of Commerce has been appointed to the Kāpiti District Leader’s Group for the Provincial Growth Fund.
The Chamber sits alongside side WREDA, the Mayor and representatives from the three local Iwi to review the applications for PGF funding put forward via the Regional Advisory Group.
Ms Hope says the group will assess if the Kāpiti Coast District is able to ‘operationally support the implementation’ of a project if funding is successful.
“Essentially, this is the community leaders saying we back this application and can see it has every chance of success, should funding be approved.
“We hope to support a successful funding stream for key regional development projects – ultimately contributing to a growing, vibrant local economy,” says Ms Hope.
