Just one more sleep until Kāpiti’s premier music festival kicks off. Organisers say the forecast for Saturday is perfect festival weather – sunny with a bit of cloud, but Coastella will go ahead whatever the weather, unless deemed unsafe in which case the event will be cancelled and unused tickets refunded. Please bring clothing to protect you from the elements (whether sun, wind or rain).

AWOP
We will be using the cashless payment system AWOP the same as last year, which means fewer lines and more time lazing on the grass. All unused money is 100% refundable for up to one month after the festival. It’s quick and easy to get started. You can purchase an AWOP card for $2 and load funds onto it at the AWOP tent, or through one of their roaming staff.
FOOD
Our food vendors are all hand picked by Visa Wellington on a Plate and will feature some of the Wellington Region’s finest. We will be increasing the amount of vendors this year to meet the rising numbers and demand for a diverse range of culinary treats. You may bring packed lunches for kids into the festival, but no picnics.
SUSTAINABILITY
As part of our mission to become a zero waste festival, we are using Globelet reusable cups which can be purchased for $3 at the bar. A refund of $2 will be available once you return your cups at 9PM at AWOP or the exit gate or simply donate your cups to charity at the gate through Whirlwind.
SEATING
There is limited seating at the event, so you are encouraged to bring your own picnic blanket or chairs.
