Due to the Transmission Gully project the 80kph speed limit has been extended in both directions from Paekākāariki to MacKays Crossing.
NZTA says there will also be a left lane closure from the start of the northbound passing lane to the MacKays Crossing off-ramp.
These changes will be in place until the completion of the Transmission Gully Project.
NZTA says in the interest of the safety of all road users, please adhere to the speed limit in the area and take extra care around all roadwork sites.
