Beach FM notes the passing of Dan Teka, popular broadcaster, crooner, and latterly Resident & Staff Support Officer at McKenzie Aged Care Group in Clear Island Waters, Queensland.
Mr Teka was a favourite on radio for seven years as an announcer at was then known as Gold Coast 94.1 FM from January 2008 to November 2014.
Mr Teka had also worked for two years at Australian Radio Network Brisbane 4KQ Classic Hits.
Speaking of his latest role he recently said his role primarily focuses on maintaining the physiological and emotional well-being of residents and staff throughout 15 facilities located in SE Queensland, Northern NSW, and Victoria.
He said I love my job! …. Every day is different…every challenge has its uniqueness ….every happiness that I can bring into the lives of our senior residents is immeasurable.
Along with his radio work Dan Teka was well known for his smooth singing voice, making several Television, stage and recording appearances.
