Waikanae Library, Menzshed, Wellington Free Ambulance and Destination Waikanae are teaming up to have some lovely activities in Mahara Place on Saturday 16 December from 10.00am
The library has Christmas craft making, Victorian dress-up and a photo booth, and lovely Pam is planning a story-time on our beautiful new grass around 10.30 a.m. we think (thank you so much for this Kāpiti Coast District Council);
And the Menzshed have been so busy. They’ll have their wonderful Father Christmas and his Elves after the carols and they’ll also have finished making a public piano mobile to be kept in the square (courtesy of Louise Aitken’s hard work finding on) – hopefully somebody will be blasting out music on it during the morning.
Then they have made a special carton jigsaw puzzle of an ambulance for Wellington Free Ambulance – we’ve made the day a fund-raiser for WFA, with a raffle table as well, so please come with lots of coins in your pockets.
And then we have music from our splendid Brasso and Ukes of Wellington – it’s promising to be a lovely day so please pass all this on to your friends and neighbours.
