This Thursday an Ōtaki Digital Workshop is being offered for young Maori with an interest in filmmaking.
Maoriland Film Festival organisers are looking for young Maori who are interested in making films for Virtual Reality, 360 or Gaming.
This December, Māoriland Charitable Trust is running Cultural Based Digital Workshops for youth aged 14 – 23.
At these one day workshops participants will work with Aboriginal Australia’s indigiLAB, a Maori drone operator and Maori game developer to learn about these new filmmaking technologies, how to use them and what cool stuff you could make from them.
You’ll also be asked to input into writing an Indigenous Code of Ethics by Youth for this technology – possibly a world first!
Only 20 places available for the December 14 free Workshop from 9.30am to 4pm. More info from email: [email protected]
