Geoff Culverwell, Kāpiti Jazz & Entertainment Limited is presenting a line-up of brilliant international jazz performers at the first International Concert Series to be held in Paraparaumu at the end of November.
Well-known performers from overseas include Nanny Assis from Brazil, now based in New York; Maggie Gould also based in New York; Nichaud & Mark Fitzgibbon from Australia; Roy Phillips, the legendary frontman of The Peddlers.
These headline acts will be supported by internationally performed New Zealand artists including Kevin Field, Paul Dyne, Nick Granville & Geoff Culverwell.
Various concerts will take place over the four-day event with a special presentation of Jazz Meets the Poets featuring Hannah Griffin & Norman Meehan on Friday evening and the finale event featuring the Rodger Fox Big Band with Erna Ferry on Sunday evening.
The 2017 event, the first of a proposed annual festival, will also be offering young local performers the opportunity to perform in front of an audience and two clinics with the performers for enthusiasts to interact with their favourites.
