The Council open day on Saturday attracted a number of people. Not necessarily to give feedback on the Long Term Plan but to pay their council bills and dog registration fees.
It’s time the council listened to the bouncing cannonball of frustration from the residents that work in Wellington and out of the district and open the council offices on Saturday morning.
The library is open, the aquatic centre is open so why not council offices? I have a cunning plan should the CE say it will be costly. The council must listen to the vox populi and provide a truly open for business model on a Saturday morning.
