Kāpiti businesses will have the opportunity to hear first-hand about Air New Zealand’s plans for Kāpiti at a special business briefing being hosted next week by the Kāpiti Coast Chamber of Commerce.
Ian Collier, Air New Zealand Regional Manager, will update the local business community on how to make the ‘Kāpiti Story’ fly, and take advantage of our unique tourism opportunities.
Kāpiti Coast Chamber of Commerce Chair, Heather Hutchings says the Kāpiti Regional Airport will play an important role in shaping the future of Kāpiti.
“As a business community we are incredibly supportive of Air New Zealand’s place in Kāpiti, and how we can work together to make the most of the unprecedented opportunities for growth we have.
“Air New Zealand will play an important role in our local economy as we take advantage of key infrastructure like the Expressway coming online, and Transmission Gully due to be completed in 2020. We are thrilled they are taking time to speak to local businesses and share their vision for Kāpiti” says Ms Hutchings.
Kāpiti Coast District Council’s Kevin Currie will also brief businesses on the Council’s progress around its ‘Open for Business’ programme and making the most of our more connected communities, along with a strategic overview from David Webber, Chair of the Economic Development Leadership Group.
Heather Hutchings and Co-Chair Juelene Hope will also update members on the Chamber’s Advocacy work.
The Kāpiti Coast Chamber of Commerce’s Business Briefing will be held on the 26th of July from 5.15pm at Kāpiti Sports Pavilion, Mazengarb Road.
