Kāpiti Council has an open invitation for residents to drop in to the Council Civic Building between 10am and 3pm this Saturday (July 22) for a range of displays, activities, talks and a lunchtime sausage sizzle.
“We’ve got games to keep the kids entertained while you look around, plus you can pay your dog registration while you’re here. Most important of all, you can let us know what’s important to you and have your say on our long term plans.”
What’s it all about?
“Every three years we refresh our plans for the long term. These long term plans are a road map for the work of the Council for the next twenty years so it’s important we get it right. It needs to reflect what’s happening in our communities and our shared vision for the future of Kāpiti.”
So, what does Kāpiti 2038 look like to you?
Talk to Councillors or write, draw or video your feedback at our Open house we’d love to hear your aspirations for Kāpiti and your thoughts on our key challenges. By getting clear now on what’s important to Kāpiti, we’ll be able to make the choices we need to as we shape the draft long term plan. We’ll share the draft plan with you and invite your feedback on it early on next year.
