Kāpiti community radio station Paekākāariki 88.2FM are hosting a mayoral debate this Sunday 25 September streaming live from 6pm and repeated twice daily (12 noon and 6pm) on the internet www.paekakariki.org.nz and across the district at 88.2FM.
Incumbent mayor Ross Church will be joined by at least four of his fellow contenders on the weekly community radio show Te Pae, say Paekākāariki FM. The debate follows a discussion with the locals vying for the Paekākāariki/Raumati ward seat, Guy Burns and Janet Holborrow which is now available on demand at: https://soundcloud.com/paekakariki-fm/kcdc-ward-councillor-candidates.
Paekākāariki 88.2FM has been running for over 3 years and broadcasts between 8am and 11pm daily with over 35 local radio shows. Between 11pm and 8am it switches to a live broadcast from the bush on Kāpiti Island.
