Get ready for an exciting event filled with activities, live performances, market stalls and good vibes!
This year the Kāpiti Youth Festival will be held on Saturday 9 April at Maclean Park, Paraparaumu Beach kicking off at 11am. If raining, the event will take place the next day.
During the day there will be a skate comp, beach soccer, workshops (street art, DJ and hip hop dance), live music, a pop up market and food stalls.
As the sun sets, get ready for an open-air movie (vote on the movie you want to see at www.facebook.com/#!/kcyouthcouncil). Bring your picnic blanket!
The event is an opportunity for young people to showcase their talents, celebrate their diversity and be involved in a free community event. It is a completely youth-led project facilitated by the Kāpiti Coast Youth Council and Ngā Kākano with the whole day being delivered by youth volunteers.
For more information on activities and how to get involved, visit the Youth Council Facebook page www.facebook.com/#!/kcyouthcouncil and/or Zeal’s website (Zeal Education Trust is providing event management support).
