Staff from Kiwibank Paraparaumu branch spent their day off gardening at Paraparaumu School.
To help with the rebuild after the August fire, the local Kiwibank team have helped with the creation of a ‘Teachers Garden’, which the Teachers will use as a reward system for their students. Using soil and seedlings that were generously donated by local businesses, the Kiwibank team constructed the garden, which will be visible to the school community and help celebrate the upcoming 125th Anniversary on November 8th.
With the help of Volunteer Kāpiti, Lisa Kubala organised a team of volunteers from Kiwibank who wanted to give back to their community and help with the rebuild of Paraparaumu School.
Parents of Paraparaumu School organised a sausage sizzle to thank the team and were thrilled with the outcome.
Principal Steven Caldwell said “It’s great to have help like this from the community. It is a great example to our students and the work that Kiwibank has done is a positive step towards the rebuild of our School”.
