The Mayor of Kāpiti Coast District Council, Ross Church, married long term partner Vicki McCarthy on Saturday in the presence of 45 family members and close friends.
Marriage celebrant and Councillor Diane Ammundsen conducted the ceremony at Greenmantle Estate, Otaihanga.
“It was a fabulous day,” Mayor Church said. “We both enjoyed every moment.”
The newly-weds are now on a week-long tour of the Central North Island.
