Dear Editor
What shameful irony – KCDC was instrumental in having the Kāpiti Expressway alignment in Raumati South go through properties where residents had spent 20plus years planting with native plants, rather than use the existing designation that contained blackberry and scrub. And let’s not forget Council officers ripping out native plantings along the Waikanae River. How shameful that KCDC is now prosecuting the Standens for tidying and pruning trees on their section.
KCDC is once again all too keen to take people to court. It is beyond time that KCDC has a culture change so our Council works with residents and ratepayers, rather than bully us.
