The 2013 Big Bang 6hr Adventure Race is only one month away. To be held on November 2nd, this annual event has a brand new “top secret” course somewhere out there in the Kāpiti/Horowhenua region.
The Big Bang Adventure Charitable Trust brings this event together along with invaluable support from Swazi, Ōtaki Rotary, Horowhenua Land Search and Rescue and Ōtaki Surf Lifesaving, to name but a few. Entries are coming in from New Zealand wide.
Event director Carrie Yaxley says “this year’s course is definitely the most diverse and spectacularly stunning so far, a race not to be missed”. Along with the core disciplines of hiking, navigation, tubing and mountain biking, Big Bang adds a couple of detour activities to keep teams on their toes.
With entries closing on 19th October there is only a short time left to enter a team.
