I’m seeking re-election as Ōtaki Ward Councillor to continue working hard, with integrity, as a champion for our community.
Three years ago I stood pledging to focus on economic development, the environment, and youth matters.
I’m pleased with my progress to date, examples include; KCDC’s economic development strategy delivering investments into Ōtaki (such as Clean Tech Trust), Ōtaki’s Youth Employment Project, instigating Ōtaki’s free youth health service, campaigning to retain the Capital Connection, and expansion of sustainable energy projects (like solar panels on Ōtaki’s pool).
At NZ’s 2011 Community Board Conference I received the leadership award recognising my work for youth.
My additional responsibilities include; Chair of Council’s Environment and Community Development Committee, and Council’s representative on the Kāpiti Youth Council and Te Waananga O Raukawa Board.
I remain committed to community service, and ask for your support to continue my work to achieve more for our community.
