I’ve been privileged to be your Mayor for the past six years – and I’m standing again to offer proven leadership of our District through this next phase of development and change.
I’ve lived and worked in Kāpiti for fifteen years, working with people
throughout the District and getting things done for Kāpiti’s future.
I have thirty years experience in local government and civil defence, and am a retired Environment Court Commissioner.
Over the past six years, I am most proud of leading an effective council, the airport development, the new Aquatic Centre, the new Civic Centre, water supply solutions, 24/7 Ambulance coverage, introduction of kerbside recycling and a modern landfill and the purchase of land for new sports fields.
My priorities in the next three years are getting the best outcomes for Kāpiti with regional governance, the Expressway, debt reduction, economic development, youth development and supporting the arts.
