Prior to Joining Grow Wellington, Gerard was GM Industry & Innovation at Canterbury Development Corporation (CDC), the economic development agency for Christchurch city. CDC’s role is to stimulate economic growth through significant interventions, particularly focused on essential economic infrastructure, the city’s workforce, and its export-ready companies and sectors. He previously held the roles of GM Strategy & Planning, COO and Acting CEO at CDC. Gerard holds a BA (Psyc) and an MBA (dist) from UC, and a Grad Cert in Economic Development from AUT.
