Large crowds turned out to celebrate Waitangi Day at the Whakarongotai Marae in Waikanae.
After the powhiri and formal speeches the day was turned over to the musicians who kept the visitors royally entertained for the entire day.
There was also plenty for the kids to do with games and bouncy castles and of course plenty of delicious kai.
