Kāpiti Police are investigating the death of another young man in the Kāpiti Lights complex overnight.
Officer in charge of the Kāpiti Mana CIB Detective Senior Sergeant Mike Oxnam says around 12:40am Police were called to an altercation in the carpark area of Kāpiti Lights. A 20 year old Paraparaumu man was found dead at the scene.
“The scene remains cordoned off this morning and Police are currently speaking with some people who were in the vicinity of the Monteiths Kāpiti Junction bar at the time of the altercation.”
D/S/S Oxnam says Police are in the early stages of this investigation and have a large team working on establishing the circumstances surrounding this death.
This latest death follows the death of Izak Millanta, 17, who was killed in the same area in August.
Police will not be releasing the name of the deceased until all next of kin have been advised.
