Local writers Matt and Debbie Cowens launched their collection of reworked Katherine Mansfield stories, ‘Mansfield with Monsters’, the second release from Wellington publisher Steam Press, recently at a festive event at Kāpiti Coffee House.
Fuelled by Mansfield Molotovs (Drip-filtered, chilli-infused coffee) and delicious cakes and slices, publisher Stephen Minchin and authors Matt and Debbie Cowens spoke of their appreciation for their silent partner Katherine Mansfield, of the hard work and fun that had gone into the creation of the book, and of the considerable contribution of the academic Marcus Walker to the project.
Mansfield with Monsters was reviewed on Radio New Zealand’s nine-to-noon show on Wednesday the 11th of July.
