Kāpiti College student and Kāpiti Basketball Association U17 Girls Rep Player Emily Teono has been selected by the New Zealand Basketball Academy for the U15 Girls Team going to a major basketball tournament in Las Vegas USA in July this year.
Coaching Director Angelo Robinson offered his congratulations to Emily. “This is a wonderful opportunity and exciting stage of her Basketball career and future.
“This year the New Zealand Basketball Academy will be taking an U15 Boys and an U15 Girls Team to the prestigious LAS VEGAS LIVE Basketball Tournament in Las Vegas,” said Coach Robinson.
Teams will be competing against the best in the USA. Players will be watched by top USA College Coaches and top recruiting services from around America.
Coach Robinson said before this tournament Emily will be representing Kāpiti Basketball Association playing for the KBA U17 Girls Rep Team that is going to the BBNZ U17 Regionals being held in Napier from 20 to 22 April.
