The Waikanae Cancer Auxiliary will be at the South end of Coastlands Mall, Paraparaumu from Saturday 10 to Wednesday 21 December with their annual Memory Tree appeal.
The Waikanae Cancer Auxiliary was formed back in 1981 to provide funding assistance to Kāpiti cancer patients and their families.
Fund raising efforts have enabled equipment to be donated to the Wellington Blood and Cancer Centre where Kāpiti patients requiring radiation therapy and chemotherapy are treated. The Waikanae Auxiliary also supports the work undertaken by the Kāpiti Oncology Community Nurses and the Mary Potter Community Hospice in the care of people affected by cancer by providing equipment and resources.
