The Waikanae branch of the SPCA have been at Coastlands promoting their Adopt a Pet programme.
The SPCA cares for around 5,000 animals each year at their animal centres located in Newtown and Waikanae.
“We never turn away an animal in need of help. We rescue, rehabilitate and rehome abused, neglected and unwanted animals and where appropriate take prosecutions under the Animal Welfare Act.”
