Te Wānanga o Raukawa has recieved praise by Nature Coast Enterprises CEO Chris Barber for awarding the construction tenders for their multi-million Institute of Māori Lifestyle Advancement to local businesses.
The institute’s construction will provide between $4million $5milion of work for local contractors and trades people.
Mr Barber says the Wānanga wanted contractors and businesses from Te Ati Awa, Raukawa and Ngāti Toa Rangatira to benefit from their investment and they are leading the way in developing a new community-based economic model for infrastructure development, that is a model that encourages growth, growth for all the community.
