Kāpiti writer Kate Spencer will celebrate the launch of her new book “Being Daisy” on Friday 19th November at 6.00pm at Paper Plus Coastlands. The book will be launched Kāpiti Mayor Jenny Rowan.
In an advance book review Being Daisy was described as “Exhaustingly funny and so typical of what life was like in the 60’s. Awesome,” by Solid Gold.
Ten percent of the proceeds from sales on the night will go to support the Friends of the Library Kāpiti District.
Born in the South West of England, Kate started writing in 1974 when her three children were very young. Since that time, her writing experience has included:- Journalism/Editing Travel Features-USA,India,Europe Short Stories for UK Magazines Educational material Arts & Entertainment reviewing Personal biographies Advertorials/Press releases Blogging Website content. Arriving in NZ in 1996, Kate now lives and works on the Kāpiti Coast as a freelance writer.
